Recently our Director Bessy Adut was invited to the set of the TV series Animal Kingdom at Warner Bros Studios. It was a wonderful opportunity to talk to crew members such as Assistant Director Steven Dale and Production Manager Robert Scott to learn the inner workings of professional filmmaking. Bessy was interviewed about her takeaways from the experience. She noted the professionalism of the crew on this set in contrast to many independent (indie) filmmaking sets, as well as the promising signs of inclusion of women and minorities. It’s a model that we aim to follow here at Queen Bee Film Hive. Bessy also looked forward to one day transitioning from indie filmmaking to working with a large production company such as Warner Bros.
